Our client is an ecommerce company looking for a strong, experienced Controller to manage a growing team. In this role you will own the accounting operations of the company and be responsible for financial reporting while defining processes and procedures to scale the business.

Responsibilities include:
-Take ownership of issues and problems, find and enact resolutions and recommend process changes.
-Direct all activities of the Accounting department including the month-end close process, financial reporting and account reconciliations.
-Lead all aspects of financial statement preparation; compliance with GAAP, GL structure, financial reporting and adequate system of accounting records.
-Oversee comprehensive set of control processes, mitigate financial risk, and ensure accuracy of company records.
-Lead corporate tax compliance to ensure accurate and timely completion of all government reporting and tax filings across all geographical areas in which the company operates.
-Inventory control reporting.
-Serve as the key technical accounting resource for the company.
-Coordinate annual audit and interaction with external auditors.
-Lead, mentor, and develop staff members to become a high performing team.
-Participate in a wide variety of projects and compile ad-hoc reports.

Desired Skills & Requirements:
-Bachelors in Accounting.
-CPA highly preferred.
-10 years accounting experience and at least 5 years managing an accounting team.
-Must have Consumer Packaged Goods experience and E-Commerce experience.
-Accounting experience to include working at a mid-sized/ large, public, multinational corporation highly preferred.
-In depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including familiarity with accounting positions and related guidance provided by SEC, in areas like Consolidations, Revenue Recognition, Foreign Currency Accounting, Impairment, and Capitalization of Internally Developed Software, Equity.
-Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Effective written and verbal communication skills.
-Innovative problem-solver with proven results.
-Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
-Big Four public accounting experience a plus.
-Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
-Experience with NetSuite software a plus.
