An international food production company is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Coordinator for their San Francisco corporate office. This is a full time position in a bustling department inside the accounting branch of this company.

Responsibilities:
-Apply cash receipts, ACH + wires, and remote deposits.
-Accurately code and enter invoices, individual checks, and deductions.
-Utilize Excel to convert customer data from in-house software portals and emails into usable data for bulk upload and speed coding.
-Manage customer account information and update any changes by monitoring check remittances, portals, emails, backups, etc.
-Maintain the Bank Master Log, Batch Log, Bamtracs, Check Details, Remittances, check copies, backups, bank correspondences, remitter lists, and all other documents related to the cash receipts. Maintain and manage soft and hard copies for easy retrieval by accounting team and auditors.
-Perform post-entry checks and reconciliations on a daily and monthly basis to ensure accuracy and efficiency of month end closing.
-Enter batches and make copies of all checks with Y5s for the Deduction Management System (DMS) along with backups and adjustment reports to be submitted directly to Sr. Assistant Manager of AR and Deductions.
-Manage unauthorized cash discounts taken by customers and follow up with payback requests in email and mail. Annotate individual invoices with reasons for approval or denial, provide samples for J-SOX as requested.
-Follow up on and resolve issues pertaining to the cash receipts and make appropriate adjustments before month end closing, keeping track of open balances until closure.
-Report any unusual activities and possible abuse of tolerance to the Sr. Assistant Manager of AR and Deductions.
-Prepare, print, and send monthly AR statements for customers, brokers and branches. Maintain up-to-date contact information for all parties on department spreadsheets.
-Assist in maintenance of data storage: File and manage AR records in office storage areas with occasional services from Shred Works and Iron Mountain + monthly housekeeping of digital records in the shared drive and department email accounts.
-Other duties and Accounting department projects as assigned.

Desired skills & Requirements:
-2 years of AR experience.
-2 years of Lockboxes, ACH + Wire transfer processing experience.
-Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office: Excel, Word, Email.
-Ability to lift file boxes of 20lbs each, utilizing a hand truck for moving boxes of documents.
-Willing to adapt to change in software and procedures; actively seek proficient procedures for the department tasks responsible for.
-Comfortable working in a team with strong time management skills.
-Ability to proactively find solutions for unexpected issues that may arise.
-Flexibility to take on new accounting projects and duties pertaining to AR department functions.
